What is the Safe Traveler PNG Initiative? 

Papua New Guinea is looking forward to welcoming tourists into the country very soon. 

COVID-19 health and safety in global travel - although restrictive, is gradually allowing the world to embrace travel again. 

As a result, the PNG Tourism Promotion Authority wants to help the nation's tourism industry welcome visitors safely while observing the national 'Niupela Pasin' health guidelines and measures. 

The Safe Traveler initiative provides Papua New Guinea's tourism operators and service providers with simplified guidelines of COVID-19 health and safety protocols, and best practices on how to implement these guidelines into their different types of business establishments.  

In addition to being hosted on the PNGTPA’s website, Safe Traveler certified establishments will also receive STPNG branded merchandise to signify adherence and practice of COVID protocols.
