What to Expect?
- Cocoa Bean Competition: Farmers present their best lots for expert judging with feedback on quality and flavour—great insight into what makes exceptional cocoa.
- Talks & Workshops: Practical sessions on farming techniques, processing, value-adding and small-business opportunities across the cocoa value chain.
- Live Demonstrations: Chocolate-making demos, baking competitions, and product displays from local chocolatiers and SMEs.
- Market & Entertainment: Stalls with chocolate, cocoa products, crafts and food, plus cultural performances and family-friendly activities.

Getting there
Fly to Buka via Port Moresby (domestic connections). Hutjena Oval is a short drive across the bridge from Buka Town. Local PMVs and taxis operate regularly; your accommodation can assist with transfers. (Travel logistics may vary; check locally before you go.)
