If you enjoy exploring the history of places, there are plenty of historical sites that you can discover.  World War Two relics - even site tours about the infamous Bougainville crisis.  Find out more on Bougainville's Historical Attractions.

Bougainville culture is unique and it is quite special to witness.  Cultural festivals are held every two to three years.  Be sure to ask your tour operator for a cultural tour, otherwise on special dates like the 16th of September - Papua New Guinea's Independence Day anniversary, you will be able to see singsings and experience celebration, especially in the major town of Buka.  More information on Bougainville's Cultural Attractions.
